Method, types and frequency of formative assessment in competency learning: Student view

Background: Formative evaluation is a range of formal assessment employed by professors during the teaching process in order to modify curriculum activities, improve student attainment. Since implementation Competency Based Medical Education students need adopt deep learning approach contrary traditional learning. We were interested get their views about formative assessment. Objective: To explore perception number and types phase 1 students. Methods: collect data from pre validated questionnaire Phase MBBS 3 medical colleges analyze it, regarding evaluation. Results: 43 71 percent felt that frequency was optimal. 61 67 quantity portions for tests 57 72 motivated them study regularly.58 feel level difficulty questions optimal.59 66 periodic improved pre-clinical subjects. Conclusions: helps as well preparing summative keeping regularly.
